The Commonwealth, State and Territory Environment Ministers are working towards a National Clean Air Agreement that will set the priorities for action on air pollution for the forseeable future.
Right now, they are taking submissions from the public on what this should be in the Clean Air Agreement.
Frankly, they would prefer that this Agreement didn't mention the air pollution and health impacts from mining, burning and hauling coal. They would prefer that this Agreement didn't highlight the Hunter Valley as a national air pollution emergency.
We need to make sure that our Valley is too vocal to be ignored.
That's why the Hunter Community Environment Centre is hosting an info night and submission writing workshop evening from 6.00 – 7.30pm. Get the facts, and put together a passionate and impactful submission that can't be ignored.
