This public forum coincides with the launch of a powerful new report on coal and health.
The Balmain Defenders of Our Land, Water, Future and Climate Change Balmain-Rozelle are hosting the evening to launch a new report authored by the Climate and Health Alliance (CAHA). The report examines the adverse impacts on physical and psychological health associated with coal mining, transportation and production.
This report quantifies the health costs associated with air pollution from coal sources in communities as well as the social costs of carbon associated with emissions produced using coal mining in the Hunter Valley as a case study.
